You will notice that half of the Stanley knife casing is missing. It would take a considerable amount of time to model the other half of the casing. We could use a mirror function, however, this would give us part which we could not alter without affecting the original. So, to create a mirror image of a part that is entirely independent from the original we are going to have to create a ‘duplicate’ part.
2) Select insert from the top menu then from the drop down list select component > then select the option create ![]() 2) In the dialogue box that appears, select ‘part’ from the list of options as the type and then ‘mirror’ as the sub type. 3) Give the part an appropriate name and select ‘ok’ ![]() |
